I dislike mother's day because I'm not particularly fond of my mother.

I got my mom a portable Blu-ray player. Will get her a new computer this year for her birthday.
Last year a 22" widescreen for mothers day and blackberry 8830 for BD.

Feel very lucky. My mom is 83 years old, and has NEVER been comfortable with technology (one of those who would lose their minds trying to set the time on a VCR, ya know?). I did get her a portable dvd player last year, which she enjoys from time to time, but anything like a cell phone would be waaaaay outside her comfort zone!
