I personally can't stand the taste of beer and wine - essentially across the board. Except Guinness. I can drink a draft Guinness. But I get why other people may like those flavor profiles.

A good mixed drink is where it's at. If you don't like whiskey/bourbons straight, then have an Old Fashioned. It's delicious. There are so many options. When I go out I mix it up with Old Fashioneds, Jack and Coke and a Margarita if they make them well. And all those are delicious.

Quit being a pussy, 190 proof is just, well okay, it sucks. It doesn't even "burn" like the watered down stuff, it actually hurts and leaves your mouth and throat raw. It is also educational as in, "I was stupid to drink that."

But the OP is correct, alcohol tastes nasty. You shouldn't drink alcohol.

Alcohol is a solvent. That's not flavor, that's the stripping of the normal fluids your mouth is covered with.

I love bitter things. Most adults love bitter things. Most children do not love bitter things.

Examples of bitter things that I love, that most adults love and mist children do not love: brussels sprouts, asparagus, arugula, COFFEE, tea, dill, artichokes, kale, saffron, tumeric, dark chocolate, some mushrooms.

None of those things even come close to the bitterness of even mild hops for me. I've yet to find an alcohol which doesn't taste like the very worst of medicines.

A good Whisky or rye or scotch can indeed be very tasty, and you dont need to spend alot, just more than the bargain basement $15-20 26's, step it up to 40-50$ and you can get some nice liquor(Canadian BC pricing, im sure rest of world will vary)

Alcohol is great for diabetes. It's not so great for diabetics though.

Love if something you develop a taste for over time. One isn't instantly in love. Infatuated, maybe, lustful, too, but not love. You must be lonely.

I do find it funny that people get almost offended if you tell them you don't like alcohol. So many of my friends (and apparently people in this thread), just can't understand it. Very weird.

I didn't like any of it for years. Finally and somewhat grudgingly I found types that I like, but despite having had "really good wine" I still haven't found a wine that I care for at all, so I get that some people just don't like some things. You're still a weirdo, but I get it, it's cool.

There are people who like a good scotch with ice and they don't do it for the buzz. For me it's a little hard on my stomach and I can feel the burn the next day.
A good Bacardi black rum + coke with a dash of lime and ice is probably the tastiest alcohol I've had. I still stick to it.
