easiest way is to boot from cd, format reformat the drive, and reinstall everything. You could also get a bootdisk and do the same thing.

Now there's 4 TCP connections to that IP address, it's on and off.

Could it be ATOT? Would that open 4 TCP connections?

It could be someone port scanning your IP range.

http = web. You also happen to be on a website right now. Website information is transferred across the Internet, which requires opening a socket. Port 80, also referred to as the standard http port, is the normal server-side port for web communications.

The fact that you noticed a socket open, to that site, on port 80, while (probably) surfing on a website is of little surprise to me.
