Just do the custom scenarios and send a bunch of elite elephants across a bridge against a TON of the weakest units.

You might also want to try the Rome: Total Realism mod now that you've beaten the game. I installed it a few weeks back, and am again addicted. It also supposedly improves the AI substantially.

I'll have to look into it! I tried the quicksave and it worked! Got rid of the Scipii. Now I have to take care of the Brutii. They always have an army of 600+ so its a real pain in the ass. You fight a large army and then have to try to make it to the next city with half the army you started with. I'll get those rat bastards though.

Goodtimes . If you like large armies, then the Barbarian Invasion expansion might be for you. I hear there's an ability for certain factions to mobilize. All your cities empty out and become a giant horde.
