You wanna make this nation work?
Force a law down their throats that EVERYONE in this nation is automatically a member of the National American Workers Union: 300 million strong.
You wanna move up to management?
You got to drop out the union.
You no longer get labor union benefits. You lose the right to universal healthcare. You lose the right to work. To job security. To vacation and pay for any time off for any reason, no excuse needed.
Thats the price of wealth. As it always should have been. You wanna be rich? You pay your fucking share. You get all the benefits anyway, like cruiser yachts and Ferarris. You can live like a king and not be bothered by any notions of ripping off the working class. You got a Ferrari on a yacht? Wha thte fuck more do you need? You really need that extra 5% tax cut on the wealthy or you just wont survive?
NO! BULLSHIT! you been using that excuse for years "YOU'RE TAXING US TO DEATH! BOO HOO!"
HORSE SHIT! You lied. You cannot tax a rich person to death because it doesn't make sense and it has not happened even once.
If they fuck up lose a big lawsuit against unions they did not lose anything. Their employer did!

EVERYONE else is in the labor union. And any time, ANY ONE OF THEM, is unhappy, they can shut down the whole operation simultaneously. Management will be giving them everything they want in a matter of hours, Guaranteed!
Nobody fucks with each other, and universal respect is held because either one of us could choke the other one on VERY short notice.

Thats the New Law guys. EVERYONE is National Labor Union the day they 18. You want management? You give up labor union. Thats the deal.
Also if you not a dick about it, you can waffle back and forth between groups, with no penalty.
Do you know why?
Because you should never be penalized by the government for enduring a painful personal journey! You did your part by growing and maturing!

I see no need to stop with the nation. How about a perfect universe. There is a sure fire way to to achieve it, one that not only will absolutely work but is the only way. All you need to do is to realize that everything is perfect as it is. There is nowhere to go, nothing to do, nothing to fix. There is only the unity of all things.

Thought is division. Can thought end?

well first lets all get AR-15's and bump stocks, have a survival of the fittest, then we can take what's left and make a perfect society

They aren't nutters. This is the standard GOP M.O. - scare tactics, terrorist tactics.

Ha! For Trump -- every day is April Fool's Day . . . .

Just thinking about the "concept" of being ABLE to propose a common-sense and viable "fix" to all of our problems.

We have government to provide things that the private commercial market cannot adequately provide, provide fairly, or provide at all. Thus, we make collective decisions at the ballot-box.

There are several reasons why we elect representatives. First, it is important to people that they "like" the candidate. One woman told me she didn't like Obama because of his name. That's stupid, but it's still part of this motivation.

Second, we elect people because -- originally -- timely communication between Podunk and Washington was limited, despite an initial postal service and then the telegraph, and still limited with telephone with its unlikely access to a congressman, senator or president (unless you have a lot of money and the official knows about your contributions). This aspect is an imperative for citizens to elect (a) someone who will represent the interests of ALL people in his/her district, and that the elect (b) a "wise" person who makes decisions on their behalf -- given the limited communication factor -- regardless what the citizen might think about it.

Third, we elect people because of their policy positions on fundamental issues, their understanding of what the problems of all sides in the political discussion might be, and their ability/willingness to compromise in order that things get done

You can see that in the internet and cellphone age, some communication factors and assumptions are violated. Representatives no longer attempt to address the needs of ALL people in their district; they merely follow their partisan impulses, their desire to get re-elected, the money for their campaigns -- their party. Now, elections are thought by the most ignorant among us -- and they are many -- who think it is supposed to be a zero-sum game: "I win, you lose."

Finally, there are experts who "know" things, and there are citizens who think they know as much, or that one opinion is at least as good as another and their opinion is always the right one for addressing collective needs -- which they most often ignore, because, again, they are ignorant.

I went to graduate school the second time in the field of economics. I never really became a practicing economist, despite the job offers just before I retired from my "administrative/finance/info-systems" career. And I never reviewed, studied or kept up with advances in the social-science field of economics. But I can name several experts of the 21st century. A lot of armchair whiz-geniuses cannot even do that, but they think they're "smart", they're "individuals", they "cannot be fooled".

So, seriously, and this is only what I think -- there should be no, single national union, but we should encourage unions to flourish and we should encourage people to join unions. I say this because we should not have a single, national corporation -- they are many. What we need, though, is more consistent bargaining power with the corporations.

Otherwise, I could defer to a handful of experts which I trust -- given the knowledge that I still have.

I have a different proposal. I opposed the military draft when I stood a chance of being drafted for a war that was a mistake. But I now see how our Red State brethren have missed some of their upbringing, when there are probably more Red-State military enlistees per capita -- which is probably not a sufficient level of participation even so.

There should be some sort of national and/or state public service program that is either required (and more difficult to arrange), or encouraged with sufficient reward to make participation widely attractive.
