Yes but how many other British bands are popular in the U.S.? Next to none. A Rush of Blood to the Head isn't quite as good as their first album but still good nonetheless

It doesn't matter. They should not be played on any radio station that doesn't do funerals in its spare time. Coldplay is extremely silly.
