I get a high pitch noise from 7800GT in SLI

When running my Leadtek 7800GT in SLI I get a strange high pitch noise.

Its a very fast, ticking noise as soon as they aint displaying a static image.
As soon as I move or resize a window the noise starts, in 3D-mode its there all the time.

Any ideas what this could be?
It sounds almost like a fast harddrive working but at much higher frequency.

Will have a go running only the second card as it started when I hooked that up for SLI. Hopefully its just that card that misbehaves because if this is what SLI is about im not a happy bunny

Sounds like a fan that's hitting part of the housing. In 3D mode the fan should speed up, meaning the noise will be more apparent. Try pulling the cards and checking the fans.

Its not the fan, its some kind of electrical interference and only while running SLI.

hmmm, i know that this thread is a little old......but i'm also getting a high pitch noise....from a X800GTO2 unlocked and overclocked...it shouldn't be the fan speeding up since it's set (in atitool) to increase when the temp increases...
