I get anxious when I don't work out

... does this happen to anyone else?

As in, if I work out in a day (lots of cardio and some lifting) I feel great, and I don't let little things bother me, I don't get irritated easily, etc.

If I skip working out, little things bother me, I get irritated easily, etc.

Like the perfect example is my trunk: My trunk in my car is full of crap, but its all crap I use on a day to day basis... but its still crap. If I haven't worked out, my trunk mess bugs the hell out of me. If I have worked out, I don't give two craps about it.

Working out seems to be the medicine to all of my problems.

Anyone else experience this?

I get anxious when the OP doesn't work out too.
He better maintain those buns of steel.

I feel bad if I miss one or two sessions, but nothing like that...

I'd just attribute it to the lack of endorphines

i am experiencing that now..i injured myself ( i believe a torn external oblique) and have not been able to work out for almost two weeks...it sux

Endorphin release relates somehow to the release of dopamine/gaba neurotransmitters I believe..which relates to anxiety/depression. Certain anti-depressants which are known to help anxiety do something along these lines.

something like that working out releases endorphines. endorphines = teh happy. makes you feel good. i work out everyday without fail. look good, feel good.

I'm gonna start my basic workout tomorrow...I hope this makes me feel happy...I've felt depressed lately...

so is it better to workout during the mornings than the evenings? say if you workout during the evenings, will you feel anxious throughout the mornings until you work out?

Yup...definitely. After I work out everything is just...better. I notice elements of my desktop background I never would have. My music sounds extremely loud at the same volume as I had it before. Your senses just get a whole lot more sensitive. It's just freaking wicked. You also tend to think more positively about stuff. I've been wondering why this is, for ages. Raised testosterone/lowered blood pressure? My theory: your body adapts to being exhausted and then everything else just comes as such a sudden relief and it hits you in your face like never before.

I always get a good buzz after a good work out.
Makes me feel better about my self.
I too get this result if I eat healthy.
