I have a similar problem.

I need the video card to do 2D because with any other card, the TV adapter that I have won't work.

Some games (like ms flight sim) require both 2d and 3d to play. The voodoo card that I have only does 3d so that mostly works, but its not a perfect solution. Is it possible to tell some games to just other another card and not have that interfere with anything else?

Why would you want the TNT to do 2d and the mx to do the 3d? You won't be taking any pressure off of the mx card by doing so. That only applied to the voodoo1 and voodoo2 cards that had no 2d capabilities. And this caused its own set of headaches.

Didn't we have a similar threadto this already?

You'd have to have a 3d only card like a V2 for that.

Tkd, is there some reason you need that specific TV card? Could you just get a new one that would work with the MX?

I was looking for a cheap solution at the time, so I went with the voodoo2. Seemed to work well until I ran into flight sim 98 and couldn't play online.

Anyway, now that I think about it the answer to these questions is an obvious No. You can't have two video cards in your machine because the monitor only has one cable. Just wasn't thinking there for a minute.
