Almost lost a finger. My old windshield wiper didn't want to be replaced, so it attacked me.

New shot, better focused. It's been cleaned, Neosporin put on and a Band-Aid on it for a few hours, then exposed and dried for a few hours. I don't even know if the salve can reach the flesh that's cut.

Man, this hurts.

I like my nails longish. And I'm glad I didn't trim that hand this morning (I did the left and my toes) because if I had, the cut would have gone past the end and might have left the nail dangling lose by the bit near the cuticle. I'd rather not entirely lose the nail.

I'd paint my nails, but my hands shake, it takes too long, they never come out smooth, and I chip them 2 hours later.

Leros: actually I work on my car all the time. I have the scars and bruises to prove it.

In the last year I've changed both front axles, both front wheel hub and bearing assemblies, both front control arms, the fuel pump/filter assembly (which is inside the tank in my car), cut and patched the fuel line while testing pressure, disassembled and cleaned the throttle body, replaced all 4 sets of brake pads and rotors, and replaced the rear struts.

I'm only limited by the fact that I don't have a good place to work on it, just in the parking lot of my apartment building (with a very easy-going landlord), and I've had to work in the rain and in freezing weather a few times because I got the thing disassembled and HAD to put it back together regardless of the weather.

Nah, my hands and fingers are lumpy and my knuckles are swollen, and I've got a huge callous on my right middle finger from writing with a pencil in grade school. Hasn't gone away nearly 20 years later. My nails are usually ragged and uneven lengths, and my skin dry.
