I got a new Chase Freedom Business Visa Card!

My credit score as determined by Experian is 800.

I just got a Chase Freedom Business credit card.

Credit limit is $500.

My first student credit card back as a freshman in college had a limit of $500.

I have an American Express Platinum Business card with a credit limit of $23,000. Could this be what's holding me back?

Your score is just a number Experian pulled out of their ass. Pay no attention to it. There are too many different score types now, some still go by FICO, some have their own internal scoring mechanism.
Chase is on a binge now cutting people's limits, and are far more conservative now than they used to be. Don't take it personally. It's just business in today's climate. You might want to get a good relationship with a major credit union such as Alliant, PenFed, or Navy FCU. They seem to grant higher than norm limits and are pretty lax on standards.

and OP, the only score you should be concern is FICO. Go check your credit reports and make sure everything is up and up.

My Chase cc has remained at a hearty $800 for years while limits on my other cards have slowly crept up (with or without me asking). Think it currently has the lowest APR though, not that it matters.

A great credit score probably doesn't mean a lot for your credit limit if you aren't making good money, not that I'm implying you're poor. It does help you get the card though.

Really, I'm not surprised though. I'm sure they'd find any excuse not to give you a high credit limit.

my chase freedom card has been 1k$ since the beginning back in 06. you'd think it have gone up but has stayed the same. my wamu (now chase obvi) started @ 1500 then went to 2500 and now @ 3500, but none have changed in the last 2 years.

least it hasn't been cut down like a lot i hear about.

Chase canceled my account after I hadn't used it for over two years. They refused to lower the ridiculous interest rate they were charging, so fuck them.
