I got a new PC: Microsoft Works of course: I tried to put on Office 2000 but I am told that there is no qualifying soft

...software. Word is on the pc, why can't I upload office 2000? I did this once before on another computer with Office SBE with word and I had no problem.

With some version of MS Office, Works Suite does not qualify for an upgrade. I know OfficeXP is like that but im not sure about Office 2K.

Sounds like you might have an office upgrade. It won't look at MSWorks as an upgradeable product.

When it asks for location, just point to the cdrom drive where Office 2000 disk is that should do it.

You can do this with every M$ product I've ever had. Much easier.
