Replace Millennial with any other demographics of people and realize how ridiculous your argument is. You're generalizing an entire demographic based off the actions of one person. It's incredibly stupid.

You fail.

1. Those substitutions are not my impression at all.

2. Why would you say I'm generalizing based on the actions of one person? I said that's my general impression, based on my own person interactions with countless millennials. Where do you get this "one person" bullshit?

How old is this girl? You said she was a year out of college, which means she could really be either a late millennial or an early Gen Z. If she is indeed a Gen Z, your whole thread is built on a base of lies and you probably suck at your job, should be fired and work in a field that requires little brain power so you don't strain yourself.

Probably born in 1993, so well within the "millennial" range. I seriously doubt there are many Gen Z'ers out there with engineering degrees.

Depends on the actual scenario. Pretty sure that this was beyond something as simple as 1+1=2. I mean, one thing as the 'young one' on my team years ago I learned is that people who've been around forever get very set in their ways and are completely baffled by new concepts or changes to thought processes and refuse to listen. Heck I've been guilty of it myself. Not saying that is the case here or in every case, but I am always open to hear why someone else thinks what they think at least to at the minimum attempt to figure out wtf is going on in their head.

Not quite 1+1=2, but about as close as you can get in engineering. It is basic 2nd year engineering school stuff that everyone learns (statics). There is hard data, with graphics, charts everything backing it up (not to mention basic physics). Nobody that has any real knowledge on the subject is in disagreement, she is the only one that debates it with nothing except her beliefs and feelings.

And like I said this is about 5th or 6th major thing she has been completely wrong about on this project, and she has taken way above and beyond proof on all of them. Some of them completely basic that I think most middle schoolers would understand, some somewhat more complex.

Well, not really. People in general are self-centered.
And in every generation, some are way more self-centered than others (and for that matter, it all too often just leads to career advancement rather than a well-deserved reality check somewhere along the line...)

It's my general impression that millennials generally suck at reading comprehension... generally.

Millennial generation is generally accepted to have ended in 2004, so you think a a 12-13 year old just graduated college?

That's the reason I took job that takes place off-premises, being inside your corporate building sux no matter what you do. I work as field technician for telecommunications corporation, visiting residential customers, companies but also working on infrastructure of various kinds is giving me endless variety of experiences. I arrive early for morning shift where I only pickup car keys from office and network gear I will need for the day and then I'm gone till shift is over, and then I'm well gone from work. I avoid 99% percent of corporate bullshit from coworkers, management and other departments. I don't really know what happens inside the company even, I'm not there. My boss has never seen me working, ever.
Job has its fair share of difficulties but they are mostly related to doing job itself, it's readily unrelated with other employees in the company.

Bonus, I work alone.

Ahh, this is indeed an important question as to why the "lead" (not sure exactly what position that is) would put up with her. Perhaps he is banging her, or hopes to be.

I have never worked a single job that you could storm out of a meeting under those circumstances and keep your job. Hell I've never worked with other people that would do so with any sort of dignity. She couldn't handle 10 minutes of one of my many weekly meetings.

OTOH, if she can't or won't be fired OP it seems like you have a pretty foolproofed way of getting rid of the dumbshit during meetings. Just stop giving a fuck that she stormed out and see it as the benefit that it is.

Big company, no one ever gets fired, no matter how terrible. The lead has no choice in the matter. Based on what he's told me, I've gotten the impression he has a lot of the same issues with her as I do. The lead position is sort of like a supervisor, he assigns work and checks it technically, but has no say on performance reviews or disciplinary action.

Could you please PM me your company details so I can apply for a job? I can do my real job remotely so if yall don't fire anyone I can bullshit my way through it and get two paychecks. I'd even be willing to give you a percentage as a finder fee.

That's the end era of when they were born.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millennials
"demographers and researchers typically use the early 1980s as starting birth years and the mid-1990s to early 2000s as ending birth years."

Born in 1993, she's a millennial.
