Once I had a very strange sunburn that actually made my back itch like crazy. I tried everything, and I was going insane from itches that I couldn't reach or itches that just wouldn't go away, until a girl recommended "aloe vera" and I'm all like "pffft, stupid girly aloe won't help". I slapped some on, and it stopped the itching immediately and provided a nice, cool, calming sensation.

I was clearly pwnt by girl knowledge.

That's the only thing short of suntan lotion that I can suggest. Suntan lotion usually cools it down for a short time.

Just be lucky you don't have extremely dry skin like me, I actually get huge fluid blisters, the shakes, nausea, and sleeplessness. Suckage!

I never tried bluring to see those. I always just crossed my eyes to see it inverted (sunken), until I learned how to see them correctly.
