i got some 1.6a & 1.8a's today...

the 1.8a's can all do 132mhz fsb, but cant do 133!!?!? any help? timings? settings?

i used jumpermode instead of bios to do 133mhz fsb, and it works :Q

You probably have to set your memory settings differently and lock your pci/ agp to stock settings ,I'm not that familiar with that mobo, you need a guy named Thugsrook he has that board and is very knowledgeable about it , He posts here often.

Hey THUGSROOK, I am having this very same problem with my 1.6A system except that it is an MSI 845 Ultra ARU MB. At 132 FSB, it runs Prime95 forever, but bump it up 1 lousy Mhz and Prime95 reports errors within a couple of minutes. Does my MSI board have a similar jumper?

if not, youll have to do the 1.7v (2pin) wire mod.

The MSI board does not have any jumper voltage settings. You should up the DDR/agp and the cpu voltage up in the bios. 133 isnt breaking a sweat with these boards.

Pauli make sure you have your memory set to 266 instead of 200. Thats how mine is set up and works great

Jwyatt - Ok, I'll try it again with the memory speed set to 266. I just find it very curious that I can run all day long at 132, yet at 133 it fails in a minute or so. This is my second 845 ARU because I killed the first one by only halfway inserting one of the RAM sticks. The first board was getting up to 136FSB stable before I blew it out. Now, with all of the exact same components (except Motherboard), I am only getting to 132FSB. Could the MB be the problem or have I damaged the RAM with the first MB problem? I wouldn't think it's the RAM because it probably wouldn't work at all if was damaged in any way.

I must be doing something seriously wrong then. I have a P4a 1.8 w/ ABIT TH7II (RDRAM) mobo, and the best I can OC is 120FSB (I've locked the AGP and PCI slots). With the TH7II, the highest I can go with the voltage is 1.625 (yuk). I'm using PC800 RDRAM sticks (4x256). Any suggestions??
