Which one did you get? They have 3 versions based on the KT400A, Intel 875 and the NVIDIA nForce 2. Can you tell us more about the BIOS options and the tweaking ability? LIke voltage options and how stable the board is. We ALL know the board GLOWS, now show us some numbers!

rushhug is just trolling for DFI to to try and drum up sales. Pretty low if you ask me, I don't think I would buy from anyone who advertises in such a way.

run a search and check out his other posts...

I'm still trying to understand the line of thinking behind buying a $200 board from a company nobody knows anything about just because the damn thing glows in the dark.

hey guys, let's give rushhug a break! he's just another guy who seems to be interested in the dfi lanparty mobo and wants to see if anyone else has anything to say about this board.

i for one am interested in seeing a review of this board. almost all of the new 875p mobos are in the $200 range. sure the dfi lanparty isn't the cheapest, but with all its features, it's far from the most expensive (that "honor" goes to the asus and gigabyte top-of-the-line boards).

dfi is not a big name in the high-end/enthusiast/over-clocker market, but it's been around for a long time, and has been making decent quality, good value mobos. i personally don't own any dfi mobos, but i know people who use them and never had any problems.

i'm intrigued by the new dfi lanparty line of mobos. i don't care much about the uv color thing, but i find that the dfi lanparty boards seem to be packed with tons of features. i'm thinking about getting one myself, but of course not until I can be sure that they will perform and overclock well. Hopefully rushhug is not a troll like some of you claimed and can provide some insight on the performance of this mobo.

Yes, I agree with happybob here. Let's cut rushbug some slack here, even some of you guys have had bad experience with DFI before let's give them another chance. I for one wouldn't mind if there is an official mobo rep here posting some nice benchmarks like Abit marketing did in their forum. C'mon rushhug, show us some benchies.

well who cares if he's a dfi rep on the under. the lanparty board interests me because it seems like the only 875 board out there that supports 400mhz fsb cpu. plus it looks cool.

so if there just happens to be any dfi reps out there who wants me to buy the lanparty board, post some benchmarks!!!!

They all support 400MHz, except for perhaps the Intel one.

I'm dont think you are right. browse the canterwoods for sale at newegg. the only board that explicitly states 400fsb support is the DFI board. I checked the abit site for specs on the IC7-G and it states in big red letters "400mhz NOT supported." all the other mainboard manufacturers only state 533/800 mhz support - all except DFI

I think I'm going to buy this board from atacom (since I only have 400mhz cpu). I'm local to them so I should be able to pick it up today

EDIT: I just ordered it from atacom. going to pick it up right now!

I've downloaded the manuals for the Asus, MSI, and Gigabyte and all of them support 400MHz. And the Abit page below says 400 too.

thats funny, because this page on abit's website says it doesnt support fsb 400

Spec Page for IC7-G Max2 Advance

just downloaded the manual for the msi 6758 and it says "supports FSB 800/533." are you sure you are not mistaking FSB 400 with the ability to run ddr 400?

Abit manual confirms 400MHz comptibility. The MSI manual contradicts itself, if you read into the BIOS setup part you'll notice a 400fsb setting.(page 3-28).

finished installing the board... 400mhz cpu is locked at ddr266 speeds. the highest the bios will let me raise fsb on my 400mhz cpu is 132mhz. the manual says that 800mhz cpu can run ddr 266 333 400 synchronously, but I do not know how high I can raise the fsb since I do not have any other cpu to test.

the board seems to be very unstable, even with only one stick. I'm using corsair xms 3200 c2. I'm very disappointed with it...but I just got back from the store with a gigabyte 8IK1100 and will be installing it shortly!!

So that means if you are running a 100 x4 400FSB processor, you will not be able to run the memroy async at 400Mhz?

Ouch.. I guess sometimes appearance does not = performance.
Hopefully you will have better luck with the Gigabyte board, also you might wanna give the Abit IC7-G a try.

I found those memory settings for the IC7-G from the Abit forum, looks like it is possible to select the CPU you have and choose the memory speed manualy in their BIOS. You might want to double check with the DFI board to see if those options are available.

400 3:4
533 1:1, 4:5
800 1:1, 3:2, 5:4

that sucks. but before giving up on the dfi, has anyone gotten a chance to run it with at lesat a p4 533? i think a couple other canterwood boards are also having problems with p4 400's. so it might not be a dfi thing.

finished installing the gigabyte board. I like it except a fan header went out. doh! you can go all the way up to 142 fsb w/ a 400mhz cpu. ddr is still locked in at 266. I dont think that any canterwood board will let you raise the cpu fsb and memory fsb in lockstep unless you have an 800mhz cpu.
