I get buzzed fast, and I lose it fast with alcohol. I'd be buzzed from a pint of 8% beer, but it would be gone before an hour was over.

I think it depends on the drink... when I drink beer or wine my head throbs and my eyes feel like they're going to pop out of their sockets. Switch me over to Scotch or Cognac and I'm perfectly fine. *shrug*

I find I can achieve the same buzz through sleep deprivation and it's a bunch cheaper than beer.

I'll eat at noon. Then have a 8-9% beer at 7PM (empty stomach), and I'd also get buzzed. If I ate, then the effect would be gone.

It all depends how much food is in your stomach....

If you drink regularly, the 1 beer buzz under the same scenario is way less effective. The body adapts...

A friend just came back from Iran and one of the funny things he found there was that Beer(non-alcoholic)is one of the trendy beverages there. Their popular Fast Food joint also serves Burgers, Pizza, and Fried Chicken, basically every Fast Food item in one restaurant.

I did try a non-alcoholic beer...never did like the taste

Depends. Was it a 22oz or 750ml bottle? If it is good beer, and a larger format bottle then you're not a lightweight. Most of the people saying yes probably enjoy a frosty MGD or Miller High Life. On occasion, they might branch out to a Newcastle or Sam Adams.
