Update: So I went down to the Apple store today and the lead Genius said that there is nothing else that they can do for me and suggested that I get a new wireless card, nevermind the fact that I have a warranty for something that needs to be fixed or at least offered a workaround to get it working again and nevermind that I paid $2800 for it and I am now tethered to a desk if I want to get any work done (video editing and whatnot).
I'll see if I can call AppleCare and if they can do anything else for me cause frankly this is unacceptable.
Seriously, that is ridiculous... though they may be 'Geniuses' almost nothing of value gets solved at Tier 1 Tech Support... it seems to go like this:
Tier 1: "Is the computer plugged in?"
Tier 2: "Do you have drivers?"
Tier 3: "What you are going to want to do is going to this slightly hidden part of our website, that is where we keep the good drivers... now, I'll walk you though the process of clearing your registry (or library) and then implementing the new drivers. Next, we will begin the optimization process to ensure that they work well"
Tier 4: "Terribly sorry that this has been happening to you, here is a replacement machine and a free hat"
Go with what nweaver said, get a manager in there. They have more power anyway when it comes to getting issued resolved in a timely manner.
