What pisses me off is when the sellers don't leave me a positive feedback. I tell them thanks, got the shipment, left ya a positive feedback and I don't hear sh!t from them thereafter. But that's another thread, I suppose...

From the incoherent quote of that s1462 guy, all I gathered was that he won bubbasmith's auction, was somehow told he did not win even though he is the high bidder, and now he won't pay anymore and will probably leave (-) feedback?
Is that right?
You're right. Ebay doesn't give a crap. I had my Ebay account hijacked from someone overseas a month or so ago. All Ebay had to say about it was to change my password every month or so, so someone can't break into my account. My system was secure, so the only way they could've stolen my password was if they were scanning Ebay's site while I was logging in. I even asked Ebay about offering a secure login and got no response. The only good thing that Ebay did was credit me the listing fee that the guy who hijacked my account rang up listing a couple of items.I honestly believe that ebay doesnt care about the everyday trader, i got scammed a couple times and they didnt do jack sh!t. I hate ebay!

Are you crazy? Go to the auction and you can see the FULL list of bids that were put in. There is no way whatsoever that you can claim that anybody offered me $275 for the phone. In fact, after you failed to respond, I sent the second highest bidder an offer to buy the phone at his bid (255.01). eBay has records of all this so my story will obviously win out over yours.
You know, if you had just responded to me and asked me if you could have been let out of the deal I probably would have agreed. But now that you've decided to threaten me and screw around with me, I am going to do whatever I can to make sure eBay finds out about you and deals with you harshly.
I am giving you ONE LAST CHANCE. Pay for the auction in full (I will waive shipping) -- $260 -- and I will pretend you never sent me this email.

waggy, you can go fvkk yourself real real hard.
i dont take well to being called a moron or being told that i deserve to get screwed.
and doesnt look like im going to get screwed after all because the second highest bidder just decided to buy the phone from me for 255. so stick that in your pipe and smoke it wagg and all you other pr!cks who automatically think that i'm the bad guy.
To his credit, it's also indirectly about seller's that don't do the best job. What sort of things do you think you could do better in the future?Originally posted by: bubbasmith99
WAGGY DID YOU READ THE EMAIL HE SENT ME? HERE LET ME QUOTE IT FOR YOU SINCE YOU SEEM TO BE SOMEWHAT MENTALLY DEFICIENT:
you could post negative feedback. i will do worse. after winning the auction
i emailed and someone replied me that i indeed did not win the auction at
260.01. because someone else had it for higher(275.00$). you know as well as
me that if you conatct ebay and i will reply that you refused to sell me the
phone becuase you felt the amount was too low and probably could of sold it
for more(wich in these circumstances an a530 is worth more). who do you
thinck they will believe it will be obvious that the guy you wanted to sell
it descided not to pay. you should let this go. because we will have to send
this e-mail everytime we want to buy something or sell it.
thanks
THAT GUY NEVER INTENDED TO PAY ME. THIS THREAD IS ABOUT DEADBEAT EBAYERS. NOW GET LOST.
No.. I never respond to emails sent by Ebay or any other site. What I usually do when they have an offer is delete the email and go to the site myself. I also got myself trojan finder software and didn't find anything on my system. I updated my AV software as well just to be safe. Besides this, I have a firewall. Someone would have to go to great lengths to hijack my account.Ebay does offer a secure login. It is a pain because it is not the default option so you must click on it (it's the lower right link of the login page. Regarding your hijacked account, though it's possible that someone scanned Ebay for your password, more likely, you might have responded to a spoof email or click on some link through a scam email. Also, check for trojan horses or keystroke programs on your computer or if you use outside computers.
