I hate Fedex

work address? huh? I'm talking about my apartment. Every package I've gotten so far has been left outside my door, fedex packages included. Not sure where they fucked up this time. Annoys me that I can't go pick it up until at least Monday they said on the phone

I guess the shipper required a signature for the package so it could not be just left there.

Tell me about it....I had a part at my shop that another company had picked up the last week of December, and low and behold that company went bankrupt. Fed ex decides to try and force me to pay the $226 shipping, since it was picked up at my place even though I had nothing to do with the arrangements.......

I have been to hell and back with them a total of 6 times, and they still send me bills and are now calling me threatening to turn it into collection....

Its like the Fed Ex Frieght version of groundhog day.........

lol. I think UPS hates me. I would get excited because the tracking info says "out for delivery" at 6-7AM. And three times last month I wouldn't get the delivery until about 6:50PM. Meanwhile, my roommate ordered two things last month, and they showed up around noon. Argh.
I can't complain, they still showed up on schedule, and the driver seems like a nice guy.

Why do folks think fdx or ups is deliberately holding their packages at a warehouse instead of delivering them?

You can only make so many pickups and deliveries in any given area each day. Lots of packages at the warehouse ahead of yours means yours will sit there longer.

Each truck is only so big and there are only so many drivers and so many routes. You can only go back to the warehouse so many times each day.

This sounds like the complaints about the way packages are routed in the first place, which soemtimes seem to make no sense. Except that the same problems apply. Only so many vehicles/drivers/pilots/and routes are available. So sometimes your package has to go a strange route.

It's only partially that they won't deliver it, it's also that they won't let me pick it up.

it's due for delivery monday, if it got here monday/sunday and was delivered monday that would be fine, it's that it's here, right now, and rather than letting me pick it up, they tell me no. That is stupid and inefficient.

How is that stupid or inefficient? That stuff is all in a warehouse/distribution center/back of a semi. If they let every Joe Blow come and pick up his stuff early they would be constantly having to send someone to try and find his box buried inside the dist center. Digging through trailers or staging areas. Don't order online if you need your stuff that fast. Or pony up for next day.

Don't complain about Fed Ex, at least they deliver your packages. Canada post makes you pick them up at the post office the day after you get a delivery notice left on your door.

I love it how the government makes you pay for shipping to your door yet it never arrives here.

I actually called the main office to complain, and I pretended to be handicapped saying it's a big chore for me to get my stuff picked up at the post office. They didn't give a shit, that's how bad they are.

What i hate about FedEX and UPS, is that i will have stuff shipped to my Apt, and if i'm not home, i leave notes / signed form thingy, to drop it off at my apt complex managers office ( they are aurthorized to hold packages for me, they do it for the rest of the complex) . sometimes fedex/ ups will drop it off there, other times they won't.. luckily my neighbors will drop off stuff to the manangers office if they know i will be out of town. Its hit or miss with either carrier; and I do try to order items that will get to me before i leave town. And I do pay extra for the faster shipping if its warranted.

Luckily for me, the FEDEX and UPS distro centers are close to my apt, so its easy enough to drive over there and pick up items that should have been left at my apt complex manger offfice.
