my mom has cancer
It spread to both her lungs.
She's only 61, just learned today from oncologist that the avg patient with similar stage 4 sarcoma lives around 2 years
That's not enough time
I wish we could just implant bionic lungs and put some kinda technology to filter out the diseased cells from the bloodstream.
This sucks
I spent like 2 years visiting mom every other weekend (4 hour drive 1 way), and burned up all my PTO/Vacation time as well as worked remotely from her place a bunch during COVID. (helping to cook, clean, etc since my grandma is 87 and was her primary caregiver)
Mom went on Hospice back in March 2020.
She lived until Sept 3. She was 62 and a few months.
Last few weeks have been very hard. I appreciate all yall. Take care of yourself and your families.
This is sad news.
I am going to say a friend of mine Father had a similar thing. I know lung and something else.
He tried treatment and it sucked, he went to a faith based pain management plan and I remember him speaking highly of it and it helping him. He lived for several years.
Really my point is we all tend to think in scientific terms and sometimes something without numbers to verify like faith works.
Don’t be afraid if you Mom wants to try something that sounds strange.
Good luck man. I’ll keep you in my Sunday prayers.
His mom died about 3 weeks ago...it might be too late for a faith healer...unless he's VERY good.
