Nope. Not true. By definition, H1-B is only issued to a foreign worker, if an American citizen can't be found to fill this position. So, erub is right: Americans are more entitled to work in this company in this case.

You didn't pay attention in Economics class, did you? In order for America to maintain it's superpower status, we are forced to go global. This does mean our wages will be reduced, but it also means we can still have a fairly nice standard of living for a while longer. If you haven't heard, the population is supposed to reach critical mass in the very near future. Population keeps rising, resources keep shrinking, and America is doing it's very best to have it's slice of the pie before it all comes crumbling down. And guess what? When the economy goes all to hell, guess who the most abundant people in the world are? Also guess who's going to be around when America isn't. America is doomed to fall, it's just a matter of time; you should have paid attention in History class too. When the time comes, how you gonna get paid? Better think about it.

Meh I dunno, this thread is obviously not gonna go anywhere good, but I will say that there are times that I find it annoying that half the people in my field are from asia and don't really get along very well with all the white people. It can be bad when you have a group of white people and a group of asian people doing the same thing but not communicating or working very well together. Obviously when some of those involved are racist it makes it even that much harder. It is certainlly alot EASIER to get along when everyone had a common background to base their friendship on.

You do realize I'm not strictly talking about the H1-B program, right? For all the OP knows, these Chinese and Indians have become citizens of the US, yet he'd still consider them "foreigners."
