Yeah. You're a big man.

Yes. It was the kids fault that his manager told him not to. It was also subways fault that the grocery store was out of stuff as well.

Sigh..... I can't believe I have to explain this, but here goes....:

Its not like the kid is going to get fired for properly serving a customer in a RESTAURANT. The milk thing was ironic. Once you hit the 5th or 6th grade, hopefully you too will come to understand the meaning of an "irony."

That's just a bad owner.

BTW, you sound like a whiny little ass. The kid was just doing his job.

I bet I can kick yours though

You must have never worked in a restaurant before? Pickles usually come in 5 gallon buckets that are RESEALABLE and I only need a few slices of tomato. Call it what you want, the kid was a retard and so are you. Why even bother to have the doors open if you can't serve what you have on the menu?

Not at Subway (and neither at Burger King)

The Subway near my house is great. Young employees, but they always do good work. The one where I used to work was trash. They were always out of veggies or meat. The employees didn't seem to give a damn, and would typically talk on their cellphones while preparing the food.

It all comes down to the owner. It isn't Subway's fault, because they are actually pretty aggressive when it comes to complaints about services and their products. They have set guidelines on what a store is supposed to have. If they don't, you should rat them out like Amused said.

Disclaimer: I havent read the rest of this thread, just the OP's topic. I work in a Subway - there's no ****** way we'd run outta veges. It just wouldn't happen. Except one time when our cucumber delivery was ****** for FOUR days in a row - a problem we had no control over, so no cucumber for 3 days. But aside from that, the whole thing sounds like BS to me - not allowed to prep veges? WTF? Veges will last in the fridge for 2 - 3 days before they need to be biffed.

Quiznos is delicious, but you gotta be rolling in cash to eat there. I got a Pepper Corn Prime Rib on Rosemary bread a few nights ago, the damn sandwich is 11 bucks for the large, and they have the nerve to charge you 15 cents extra on top of that for the Rosemary bread!!!

I don't expect to get a sub of this quality for 5 bucks, but $7.50 would be nice. If I had added a soda and a bag of chips, I would have paid sit down eatery prices.

with that said, I believe I'll be eating another one tomorrow, might try the Prime Rib Cheese steak, not the 11 buck one this time tho

sure there wasnt a big event in your town recently. I worked at a sandwich shop. You could not overbuy on things. Murphy's law always found a way to make it that when we were out of one thing... everyone wanted it.

Hah, yeah I think it's pretty funny that they charge extra for the specialty breads at Quiznos. Their prices aren't terrible though - a "Regular" at Quiznos is about the size of a 12" at Subway, and they're only a bit more expensive. For the extra money, you get a lot more meat (at least on the sandwich I get, the double bacon BLT, and on the sandwiches my wife gets). Meat is far and away the most expensive part of the sandwich.

I did a project in college on Subway (where I worked) and I got all of the wholesale prices for all of the ingredients, and I worked out the per-sandwich cost of each ingredient. The bread is only $.11 for a footlong, plus electricity costs for baking it. That's why I think it's pretty funny that Quiznos nickel and dimes you on the fancy breads, because it's so cheap.
