I hated 'Freedom Fries'. That MIGHT have made sense if they were originally French fries or French Fries, but they weren't; they were french fries or french Fries. I took to calling them what they REALLY are: frenched fried potatoes.

Hey, we saved their butts in Dubya Dubya Too. They saved us in the Revolutionary War. The British saved us from the "cheese-eating surrender monkeys" in the French and Indian War. I say it's a wash, but that doesn't solve the fact that they deserve heaps of ridicule for finding Jerry Lewis funny and the Maginot Line!

Mac, I don't know how you can blame the left for the inaction of the right...Since big business, especially agribusiness, which is HEAVILY Republican, depends on illegal immigration, this sounds more like a problem to be blamed on the right side of the aisle...

My take on the whole thing is that the Right wants them here to work cheap, but give them no kind of legal rights when they're here, and deport them when it's politically expedient.

The left would just as soon they stayed home, BUT, once they're here, they're entitled to full protection of the law. (safety, wage & hour, etc.)

I've been a Democrat for over 30 years and firmly believe they should ALL be rounded up and sent back to whatever 3rd world shithole they crawled out of...

but hey...that's me.
