How the right loved to remind them that if it weren't for the US (and the other allies) the French would probably be speaking German...and conveniently forgetting that if it weren't for the French coming to our aid in the Revolutionary War a couple of hundred years ago, we'd probably be speaking English here in the USA...

I hated 'Freedom Fries'. That MIGHT have made sense if they were originally French fries or French Fries, but they weren't; they were french fries or french Fries. I took to calling them what they REALLY are: frenched fried potatoes.
Hey, we saved their butts in Dubya Dubya Too. They saved us in the Revolutionary War. The British saved us from the "cheese-eating surrender monkeys" in the French and Indian War. I say it's a wash, but that doesn't solve the fact that they deserve heaps of ridicule for finding Jerry Lewis funny and the Maginot Line!
