For all the, "fight," posters, I've had family members deteriorate over long periods of time, so I'm not so sure about that. If there's really nothing left to be done, with whatever condition you have, make the most of what you have left with whomever you need to. Remember that you can act like a little old lady, now, too: you don't have to worry about what anybody says, anymore.

Terribly, Terribly sorry to hear this, nanette1985. *wipes tear from eye*. I hate hearing bad news like this. Reminds me of how we had my grandma at the house during Christmas in hospice care. She died of pancreatic cancer. I hope you don't suffer. They do have a lot of good drugs out there.

I don't know if your very religious. Personally I'm not I'm just spiritual. Last time I went to church was when I was 11. I don't know a lot about the bible, but there's really only one thing that you only need to know. John 3:16. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

I believe there is a heaven and we live on. One day perhaps we will meet. At least you can be with your loved ones this Christmas and bring in the new year. I'll be praying for you. God bless. *gives a hug* Now I need to blow my damn nose. :'(

Sorry to see this post. Not sure what the back story is, but regardless, it's not news anyone is ever truly prepared for. Just be aware that doctors aren't perfect, so don't give up. Do something you've always wanted to do, and seek inner calm. If you want to talk, sometimes there is comfort in a stranger's ear. Be aware that ATOT is with you in thought and in spirit. You are not alone, even if the hand offered is a virtual one. We're all pulling for you.

My uncle was told he had a 4-6 weeks to live, 2 years ago. What the doctor didn't understand is how stubborn that SOB is. You don't accept things like that, you get mad, you fight.

There's a huge back-story to this.

The good news is that the $190,000 I'm being billed for the surgery is being cancelled due to my impending death.

If you never have medical difficulties and hospital confusion, thank the gods, and be grateful for your good luck.
