Why is everyone here just wishing the OP goodbye instead of trying to better understand what's going on? Wish OP could tell us the back story. It doesn't make sense if the issue is getting access to medicine since her disease is diabetes. Also, doctors have a habit of being conservative in their assessments of how long people will have to live. When they live longer, who's the hero?
So, what's the story here, OP?
It seems to me that death, especially one's own, is a very personal and potentially private affair. It would be hard enough to come to grips with without sharing details. If she doesn't wish to share, let it be.

Because it's her life and her right to choose what she does and does not decide to share with a bunch of (relative) strangers on a forum. It's not as if ATOT can make better medical decisions than the doctors who are actually treating her.
Yeah, I guess you're right. I ask because I have a friend who has diabetes and it'd be hard to just accept that they can be gone in such a predictable way given that the disease is well-understood.
It's not just diabetes. She's posted some things in the past like the fact that she has had 5 strokes and brain surgery.
from your link, thats just a fancy name for diabetes.
its not fatal if u take insulin.
"All forms of diabetes have been treatable since insulin became available in 1921"
op, sorry to hear
Terribly, Terribly sorry to hear this, nanette1985. *wipes tear from eye*. I hate hearing bad news like this. Reminds me of how we had my grandma at the house during Christmas in hospice care. She died of pancreatic cancer. I hope you don't suffer. They do have a lot of good drugs out there.
I don't know if your very religious. Personally I'm not I'm just spiritual. Last time I went to church was when I was 11. I don't know a lot about the bible, but there's really only one thing that you only need to know. John 3:16. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
I believe there is a heaven and we live on. One day perhaps we will meet. At least you can be with your loved ones this Christmas and bring in the new year. I'll be praying for you. God bless. *gives a hug* Now I need to blow my damn nose. :'(
