Sorry to hear about your situation.

You seem strong. Stay that way and do your bucket list if you can!

God Bless and enjoy your time with your best friends and family.

Hopefully the calculations are off. Good luck and hope you get better, or at least feel better. Best of luck.

Nanette, thank you for sharing with us your joys and hard times. Even if I don't post in your thread, it does not mean that I did not read it and take something away, something good.
I hope you and your family get through whatever comes with as much grace as possible.

Nanette,

Never really got into a lot of discussions with you, but have read enough of your posts to know that you are a good and honorable person. I feel a genuine surge of anguish when I think about you being given a countdown, for you and your family. I have lost a lot of friends and family in the last year or two, the thought of losing more good people puts a pit in my stomach even though I've never met you.

I implore you to fight, fight, fight, to never give up. Accepting it is the little death which insures the real one. I had a great uncle and a grandmother who were both given months to live, and both of them exceeded their doctor's expectations by almost a full 2 years each. I do not claim to know what you are dealing with but I don't care. You need to be a salty ol bastard about it like they were.

If it is inevitable I hope you can spend the rest of your days bathed in comfort and love, and make your time left a victory lap of sorts. Say the things you need to say and do the things you need to do before meeting The Great Mother again. As another poster already asked, I think if there is anything this forum can do for you, please tell. We can all at least try.

Wish I could give you a hug, and that you and your family can stay strong. Know that people all around you are better off for having known you, and that many wish they could have.

*blows e-kiss*

Love, Kage.

Here's hoping you can live your final days in relative comfort.
I just wish I could reach out and hold your hand right now.

So you just accept the doctor's arbitrary timeline for the rest of your life? Last I checked, doctors are not God.

If you truly believe you only have four weeks remaining, than that's probably what you'll have. If you believe otherwise, you might be surprised.

She said it was a long story. No need to give her stress on this.

Just live each day like it wasn't your last.

There is a lot of negativity here. Here is a good motto:

This is your life. Do what you want and do it often.
If you don't like something, change it.
If you don't like your job, quit.
If you don't have enough time, stop watching TV.
If you are looking for the love of your life, stop; they will be waiting for you when you start doing things you love.
Stop over-analysing, life is simple.
All emotions are beautiful.
When you eat, appreciate every last bite.
Life is simple.
Open your heart, mind and arms to new things and people, we are united in our differences.
Ask the next person you see what their passion is and share your inspiring dream with them.
Travel often; getting lost will help you find yourself.
Some opportunities only come once, seize them.
Life is about the people you meet and the things you create with them, so go out and start creating.
Life is short, live your dream and wear your passion.

So sorry to hear this, nanette. I've been following your threads and posts for some time but rarely comment--perhaps it hits too close to home.

You've been one of the better people on these boards recently, and I only hope for the best for you and your family. Fight whatever you can fight, but do make the best of your time.

I'm going to let Jimmy V close out this post:

There's a huge back-story to this.

The good news is that the $190,000 I'm being billed for the surgery is being cancelled due to my impending death.

If you never have medical difficulties and hospital confusion, thank the gods, and be grateful for your good luck.

If I can't post any more, hope everyone has happy holidays and a good new year.

Best to you all.

36 yrs old colleague of mine for 10 yrs has terminal Malonoma cancer, we just found out the 2wks before Christmas that it was back with a vengeance. As with her, I know not, what to say, but Im sure you have many faces that will be thinking the same thing while wanting to gift their condolences.
I pray you have many memories and faces. God bless.

We all have to go sometime. Some sooner than others. That sucks to hear.... it sounds like you're handling it. Most will live their whole lives and NEVER know how to handle something like this. You get a lot of respect from me.

Best wishes for you and your family!
