I have a general idea for a build, help me fill the rest

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($65.70 @ Newegg)
Storage: Sandisk Extreme II 240GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Video Card: MSI Radeon HD 7770 1GB Video Card
Sound Card: HT Omega STRIKER Sound Card
Power Supply: Antec 450W ATX12V Power Supply
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer

I already have the parts listed except for the CPU and Memory; I have a $600 budget for these and the rest.

I honestly have no idea on what to get for the mobo and cooling. I do require that it has at least one PCIe and one PCI slot. I might want to overclock a bit, just a little.

On cases, can the front panels be replaced in the future? If so, I can splurge a little and just keep reusing the same case.

Firstly, for the cpu

If you have a Frys Electronics near by, you can get a Sandy i5 or i7 dirt cheap, they are removing their inventory so they just have ivys and haswell left, so a 2500k is about $130 and an 2700k is only $195. Something to seriously consider since you are on a budget and that ipc improvements have been pretty minimal lately, although sandy is 2 generations behind. These are in limited stock, but should still be around for a couple weeks.

If this is not an option, definitely go for haswell. I mean why not?

For SSD

I highly recommend going with Plextor, Samsung, Crucial or Intel's for SSDs.

Video Card,

Possibly a 7790 would be better for the money now.

Sorry for the confusion. I currently have the parts listed (reusing them) except for the CPU and memory; planning to get the latter two.

I might go for a i5 4670K bundle; it actually seems cheaper that way.
