I have a HUUUUUUGE hard drive problem!!!!!!!

I put a bunch of stuff on queue on kazaa, after i wake up, i realize there are 2 megs left on my 60 gigger. OMG!!, i close kazaa. and restart the computer. When i restart i get an error message and cant start windows. Then i put this hard drive on a different computer on as a slave drive. The partition with the downloaded stuff doesnt not open. But the second partition does work. Then i try formatting the first partition. But the process stays at 0%. what's going on? did this hard drive die sorta?

Sounds like a virus to me... thats just from previous encounters.... one that replicates to fill up a drive...

however, since you cant reformat it....have you run any diagnostic utilities on the drive? Have you tried erasing the partition completely?

well, im trying to erase the partition, but i think i need to format. Do you with win2k?

Ummmm......you should be able to delete partitions without formatting. If the Win2k setup utility won't work for you, you probably have an infected drive. Most hard drives come with software on a floppy disk that allows you to run diagnostics on the drive.

i never got a floppy with my hard drive.
I have an IBM 60gig 60gxp hard drive. anyone know how i can run some diagnostics?
