Just looking for any input before purchasing early in the new year.
Thanks

I too like to keep them separate. I did 500GB for Windows, but used 2TB drives for Gaming and Photos. When I built mine earlier this year the 4TB drives were much more than 2-2TB and I wanted at least 2TB each for Games and Photos so I picked up the 500GB just for Windows. You could use a partition on the bigger drive to keep them "separate". I didn't realize you already had some 1TB drives. Are they 2.5" SSD or NVME? 970 Evo Plus or something else? Thanks, will update drives, and look at the case.
I was planning on windows on the 500gb and games on the 1tb...do people still keep them apart? Also, already have a couple of 1tb SSDs.
yes, SSDs. Pubg, CS2, GTA, Alan Wake etcAlso, what games you play? And what resolution? That will help choosing the video card.
How much space is your OS taking up? Even my work laptop that has WAY more programs than my gaming PC and stores ~100GB of Drop Box files and email at any given time and it still has 200GB of a 500GB drive free.IMHO a 500GB drive is too small even for an OS drive these days. I'd use a 1TB minimum and a 2TB for storage. I'd go with the Peerless Assassin myself also. Otherwise not too much to nitpick it looks good. Windows 11 keys can be had for $20 American off of Kinguin or some similar site saving you a few bucks.
Agreed, a single 2TB drive makes better sense IMO.Looks good for the most part, a couple of notes.
Consider buying a single 2TB drive instead. Cost is almost the same as 2 separate drives, but you get 500GB more storage. Also, the 970 is a Gen 3 drive, but the CPU and motherboard support Gen 4. Speeds are double for Gen 4. Real world use probably won't show too much difference but it's there.
The case you selected only has 2 fans included. I would add a couple more or look for a case that already includes more fans. I really like the Lian Li 216 that I used on my daughter's build. It came with 2 160mm up front and 1-140 in the rear. Tons of airflow. It also has 2 USB 3 Type A ports on the front instead of one like the Corsair.
Looks good. You could possibly save money on the motherboard. Are there specific specs about the X670E that you need? MSI has a B650 version of the Tomahawk board that is £100 cheaper. You'll lose an M.2 slot, a PCI slot and an internal USB 3 header, but most builds probably don't need those. The X670 board loses a couple of USB type A ports but adds a second USB type C port on the back panel.Happy New year all!
that time is approaching 😲 I have made a few changes...unfortunately it has got a bit expensive...and will still need a new monitor.

My daughter has that Gigabyte board, it's been fine in her build with a 7600X for over a year now. A few quirks early on, but nothing major. I have an MSI B650 board in my build. Also been fine. Unless you find a great deal on the X670 board I see no reason to pay £100 more for nothing of great value. No specific specs, other than comment above, about X670e being higher end, that made me switch from the gigabyte b650 aorus elite ax.
That's usually the case as PCP doesn't scan as many sources that you can find o Google.I got some slightly better prices than listed!
