I have an odd question

Is it possible to get high (or at least feel goofy for .7 seconds) from breathing through scuba diving equipment? I mean, using the appropriate mouthpiece one would use while diving, and it's connected to an air tank that is filled with the appropriate air.

Not that I've ever experienced.

The air you are getting out of the regulator is the same air you are breathing right now, at the same pressure. The only difference should be that the air coming out of the regulator will be very dry.

No, as long as you aren't using nitrox.

The "high" may be from hyperventilating.

Yeah, it's not 'pure oxygen' or anything like that. As has been stated, it's just pressurized air that's otherwise the same that you breathe all the time.

I have experienced very slight light-headedness after a couple of hours of (low-depth) diving (training), but not really a high sensation.
