Are they gonna make anything for PCI-E? Im on a shuttle system here and I have no PCI slots...
Right. Also because Creative owns all copyrights to EAXCreative's cards are not professional quality nor does Creative even really intend for them to compete in such a market, despite what their marketing material says. Creative owns E-mu afterall, who does make professional level equipment (and designed the X-Fi architecture). There's not point in Creative trying to compete with themselves. Sound Blasters are more like a Corvette. They're no substitute for a Ferrari in the performance arena, but to the average Joe, they'll get you pretty darn close for a whole lot less money, and they're also a lot more functional for everyday use compared to an exotic. Any serious gamer isn't using professional quality recording hardware as their gaming sound card, as that would be simply retarded.

Eventually. Creative has stated that since development started 3 years ago, the architecture was not designed for PCI-E which didn't exist then. It will take some time to modify the cards to be PCI-E compatible.
