I have heard that there is a way to remove IE from win ME

I heard that there was a way to remove Internet Explorer from ME and because IE was used for a lot of different processes, such as viewing folders, that by removing IE, the system would be speeded up a lot.
Has anybody heard anything similar to this?

Also, on a side note. I am using system commander to run a multiple boot system. IS there any way to make more than four bootable primary partitions in system commander?

I tried removing IE from ME a few weeks back. They have so tightly wound IE into ME, that removing it caused me to no longer be able to access system tools and various other areas of Windows, and caused quite a few errors....

If it's not in the uninstaller I would not touch it. You'll do more harm than good!

You can remove web view from folders by going to folder options. You can also set one folder the way you like it and have it apply to ALL folders.

On the same topic (I'm guessing), is there a way to remove Windows Media Player 7.0 from ME - I mean the WHOLE thing...

I hope you stick with IE ,It is the best browser ,But not only for that it also enhances the OS a lot ,And remember do not expect it to give you a good speed boost by removing it maybe youd be benefitted by disabling the Webview feauture in Me
