I have some questions, please answer.

I just got some of the parts for my new computer today. Here are my questions:

1.) My Antec 1080 case has numerous "drive rails" attached to the bottom of the case. What are these for?

2.) If I touch the outside packaging of my still-boxed Geforce 4 (and still shrink-wrapped), is there any risk of me shocking it with static?

3.) Can I use only Antec fans in the 1080's two extra case fan slots? The manual says "room for optional Antec fans," but I think they just want me to buy their brand.

1) These are often for multiple Harddrives and other internal drives that do not have trays or needs to open up to the outside...

2) No the card will be in a protective static bag...

3) Likely different brands will work as long as they are same mm size...antecs are usually ok priced anyways...

hi,
1) actually those rails are for mounting cd and dvd drives or any standard 5-1/4" bay unit. they slide into rails in the case. your case should have come with screws that allow you to attach the rails to whatever drive you want to mount.
