Newegg customer support and overall service is what keeps me coming back.

Newegg didnt have an enormous problem with a certain companies graphics cards coming DOA over and over and over last year.

Newegg never lists items as in stock then when you get no order confirmation and call them a week later, and wait on hold for over an hour, they can tell you that they swapped out a "similar product" (eg. far inferior) for the same price.

Newegg honors their warrenties even to the extreme (I have RMAd the same item 6 times before).

Newegg will even cross ship RMAs after a CC balance verification.

THAT is why i keep coming back to newegg. The $15 or whatever is worth the hours of frustration.

You get what you pay for, go elsewhere if you want a lower standard of service.

I like Newegg, and buy most of my stuff through them. However, ZZF (formerly Googlegear) is also a great company. They have free 2nd day shipping on most of their big ticket items, which is nice

We had a similar thread about this before. He was then added to my dumbasses list.

Basically its that they've become a brand. They charge a little more, but people will buy because they'veh ad good experiences and hear good things.

Its like when lexus came out. They charged less because they were new, but now, they charge what they want.

You want prices, go buy somewhere else.

That's my question, does a seemingly better service warrant paying 15% more. Second most folks throw out Newegg as a response not to service but price. I question that first thought of rationale.

i feel the same way. newegg now has more business and their prices have went up and CSR is not as great (as i have read more people crapping newegg now than before), and the refurb selection/prices are not so great anymore.

oh well, same thing with staples/omax. they get worse once more people know about them.

Thats how I am viewing it. I wanted to see how others viewed it. Just can't get over the jerk off Kelvrick's response. Must of had an argument with his "partner".

I still buy stuff from Newegg, but I'll also buy stuff from ZipZoomFly, MWave, and a few other good places if the prices are lower there.

Have to agree with most here, I've ordered from all: ZZF, Outpost, Mwave, Buy.com & NewEgg. I've gotten everything I've ordered and felt like I've gotten good prices also, but when I NEED to have items delivered and I can't (or won't) get them in town, then NewEgg is who I get them from and bitch about prices all you want, but they have YET to let me down. I'll pay $1-$30 extra for that, because believe me, I get more from the customer if the job is done right and on time (or early).

You're just an idiot. WTF is your problem? Newegg's prices are a bit more. Is it worth it? How the hell is our view going to affect what you think? If you want to order from newegg, then do it. If you think the prices are too high, then don't. Its not too fvcken complicated.

Thats why I price shop on yahoo shopping, it tells you the price for most of the mentioned sites, I completely agree though, I've likely spent a few grand over the years at newegg but recently I've been leaning towards zipzoomfly.com.

Where do you get off @sshole saying who can comment on what. If you don't like the discussion and many here have had the same view as me, then find another thread to jerk off in. Its a simple discussion that really doesn't need a ricky martin like you to get all high and mighty, Punk 2ss 'bleep'

Speaking of Newegg, I have a quick story to relate. I ordered a 3400+(S754) for a system upgrade Wednesday morning after the prices had dropped from the 4000+ launch, so that I could get it before the end of the week and do the upgrade while I had the time. With a morning order, Newegg usually gets stuff out the same day, so the chip should have gone out Wednesday, Thursday if they're having a bad day; it went out Friday. I emailed Newegg on Friday morning(before it went out) asking what's up, to which they replied the following:

By the time they responded to this, it had already shipped out, so the rest of the email was the tracking info and the customary Newegg email footer. My only disappointment is that I went with overnight shipping to make sure that I had the parts before the weekend, but since it went out on Friday, I now won't get the stuff until Monday, so the extra shipping was pointless. I don't think Newegg is being malicious here, but I'm wondering if they aren't in need of another warehouse already.

More on topic with Classy's original post though, Newegg's prices do sometimes do weird things. I ordered the 3400+ at $245, it was $240 on Friday when it shipped, and $235 today. They were actually the cheapest when I ordered though, so I think in at least this case it isn't just Newegg being greedy, but everyone doing the same thing. With the Internet, it makes real-time flexible prices possible, so companies like Newegg can respond to supply and demand quickly to their favor, and I wouldn't expect anything else out of them.

PS Classy, what's with the "partner" comment? You're usually more subdued/classy than that

Maybe I get tired of reading about idiots who finally discover this miracle called "other companies" and decide that they'll be so smart they'll post a thread about it and then everyone will come in and agree with them because they're the first idiot to have thought about a concept called capitalism and business practices.

Look at the thread. Where is the discussion. Everyone seems to know Newegg doesn't have the best prices but continue their business because of a good history/customer service. I see no damn discussion here.

I've noticed their prices going up as well. Probably just a script to bump the price up as an item gets popular. I am not a Newegg fan anymore as I alerted them to a fraud attempt on their website and they told me that they cannot take my alert seriously as I've no proof. Well check your server logs dumbos.

just sent my motherboard and processor for repair. I put the cpu in the motherboard socket and they told me they didn't get the cpu.

It's been 2 weeks now and no processor. I called them and ask them to check for it in the motherboard and they still said they didn't get it.

First bad experience ever. Well, 2 years back, they sent me a used motherboard twice. twice. This was when i bought a new board but instead of sending a new one, they send a used once twice.

Ohg well
