OP, you could write about how the very worst thing you've ever encountered about being a white male in America just happened -- you were challenged by a professor to at least consider all the privileges and advantages you have always taken for granted -- and how this so ruined your day that you whined about it on an online forum.
The prof is just trying to make you step out of your box and think; to see things from another perspective you may never have even considered.
I know how distressing this must be for you. Here's a kleenex to wipe away your tears. Don't worry, it's white.
The good news is that upon your swift completion of this non-threatening intellectual exercise that is so out of your normal comfort zone, you can go right back to rigidly believing that, in the aggregate, blacks and latinos and women have it much better than you do, despite all the robust statistical evidence to the contrary.
And for the record, the prof should also make self-identified liberals take the position of a white social conservative and do their best to argue their position for all its worth.
There is no harm in actively challenging your own beliefs.
Priviledge? You mean discriminated against for being white right?
I never understood people's problems with sucking up their pride and writing a paper they don't agree with. I love that. It's kind of like trolling, only the person you're writing it for is too stupid to realize that you aren't being serious and actually agrees with your bullshit. It's hilarious. Just roleplay a bit, op.

For that matter, why do you have a name and avatar that would suggest you are one gender if you were in fact another? Why do something so contradicting and ridiculous?
Are you trying to troll us?
White privilege means we white folk don't even have to acknowledge that our lives might have been more difficult if we were minorities*, because WTF are they going to do about it?
* excluding Asians

Why? What is so damn important about contemplating the supposed benefits of a race, if there are any?

That all sounds great for a debate class. I am not sure the assignment is appropriate for a history class (especially if it is a required course rather than an elective). I wonder if the course description or syllabus included a description of this assignment.

You don't think the subject has Historical relevance?
Not as assigned. This seems like an assignment with an agenda that is not related to learning history.
MotionMan
What Agenda?
But I'm white. Wat do? D:
btw I'm a girl
The term "White Privilege" does not sound agenda-neutral to me. If it does to you, then we have nothing further to discuss.
EDIT:

Studying "White Privilege" in a straight "history" class does not seem appropriate to me.
