Since I live like any other student procrastinating, I decided it was time for me to do something constructive with the free time I had until I need to do work. I decided that I would attempt to learn TeX, and the tools held in LaTeX. I must say, I am very impressed with it. Compared to everything in any WYSIWYG editor, I think TeX far surpasses it, especially in mathematics. The equation editor in say, Microsoft Word, sucks so badly it isn't even funny. After learning the basics of LaTeX, I decided to look at the mathematical aspects. After using some examples, I realize why scientists love TeX. It is much easier to enter stuff in TeX, than it is using any equation editor. For instance I can enter this:
\[\int_{a}^{\infty}f(x)\,dx = \lim_{b \to \infty}\int_{a}^{b}f(x)\,dx\]
much quicker than trying to type it in Word. Just felt I should share my happiness. And to anyone that offers, yes, I would like a :cookie;
