I only have two complaints with Glocks.
The first is that the grip is at a funny angle. There is a standard grip angle used by almost every other pistol out there (except for Glocks and some .22s). It is something like 16 or 17 degrees.
The other is the almost complete lack of a safety. If the trigger is pulled, it goes boom. The problem is that sometimes they go off while being holstered. I know that it is the USER'S FAULT if it goes off like that, but the problem remains that if you carry a pistol every day (like a policeman) you will eventually make a mistake. Nobody is perfect. Anybody remember that video of the DEA agent in an Orlando school? The guy was probably not an idiot (well maybe an idiot for not unloading it in a shcool, but that is a separate argument). His Glock went off while putting it back in the holster. This, sadly, is not an isolated incident. My XD has a grip safety -- a definite improvement.
But anywhoo. To the OP: Since this is you first purchase, you will quickly grow used to the grip angle. Just be extra careful with it while it is loaded. Have fun!
