it's in the box. I have 30 days with Gamestop in case I have buyers remorse. They had three and in 5 minutes two couples walked in about bought two of three so on impulse I whipped out some moneys and bought it.

If nothing else I am assuming they will still be $250 and sold out by Holidays so I can sell it for like $375 then if I decide I do not want it.

Did they always come with wii sports?

Yes.

What kind of games do you like? Zelda is always great, as is the new Metroid. Then of course Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Brothers Brawl come out soon.

I know. I have TP for GC and i'm not to thrilled of the new metroid. I just started #1 and have #2 waiting. SSBB is the only one that gets me excited as of right now.

Basically, if you like Nintendo's first party games then keep it, because third party games will almost always suck or be better elsewhere (except rare games like Trauma Center, etc). Nintendo first party games are the only reason I own a Wii

yes. I never said it was good. I just bought it to think about it. If I went home to think about it, it would not be there when I returned. I also look forward to the holiday rush.

Why do I feel that Nintendo is hording their consoles and going to make a massive shipment before the holidays to wipe out the competition?

I can take pics if you are going to call shens on this thread.

I will buy one for my kids and the only game I wanna play on it is Mario Galaxy. I hated Wii Sports and don't see the appeal. You can't control your character..lame.

I don't know anything about it really. Mario Galaxy looks retarded to me. All those weird spacey environments and colorful platforms look more like a trip than anything else.

Have you actually played the new Metroid? My Wii had been collecting dust for quite a while until MP3. That game is very good and has somewhat restored my hope in the system. I didn't like MP1 or MP2 because I thought the controls were just too gimped to be enjoyable... the lack of free look killed them for me. But the controls are completely different and very enjoyable in MP3. So even if you didn't like the first two, MP3 is still worth trying out.

Yes I beat the first 10% I wasn't impressed and I didn't like holding the R button to stop the camera from moving around. It looked like a watered down Halo2 and could have been on the GC. I also played it on a nice LCD which made it all pixelated. All in all more of the same.

I love the first one. I love the Gimped controllers. It's not about shooting as it is about adventure. She is a bounty hunter, it makes sense that she is such a crack shot. Also it's not as realistic as before...

The developer said that in the first one since she has no neck it makes sense she has trouble looking around (using the left arm as support when free looking) in the third one she's zipping around with that cannon of hers. Totally killed it for me.

I'm totally baffled that you don't like MP3, but you like the first one. What I've played so far the Wii control setup adds to the experience. I can't stand FPS games with analog sticks, but I picked up MP3 right away.

It's certainly not amazing in the graphical department, but the gameplay and overall experience make up for any shortcomings. From what I've read, Lair on the PS3 is the opposite. Pretty graphics, but controls like a pig.

yea I am not saying I don't 'like' it. It's a sweet game and addition. It's just that with the added hardware capability, they seemed to make it half assed. I expected new visor condensation effects, water effects and such but didn't get anything. It's like they reused mp1/2's content and called it a day making some new levels.

The wii is 'so much' stronger than the GC but I haven't seen it proven yet.

Lets not get started on no multiplayer options. With wifi and all, no deathmatch? Fanboy's kept saying that it's stupid with auto lock on but that's just an excuse because they should have turned that option off. They totally could have revamped multiplayer.

Also I love the first two because they cost $5 and $15. It's also about value. I cannot justify $50 for something when I could buy BioShock or something like Halo3/UT3 for a little more but get so much more content/replay.

Doesn't yoru wrist get sore after a couple of hours? It doesn't seem very comfortable.

Why are a ton of people buying and selling them if every system comes with it? It doesn't make any sense. I also remember around January or February that they said Wii Sports was going to come out separately.

Are there a ton of people actually buying them? I can definitely see people trying to sell them, but I can't see anybody buying Wii Sports separately except those parents, etc that don't read the box first and think, "well, I have to get a game with it too...Oh, how about Wii Sports? It sounds like it's a perfect fit for the Wii!".

You may see a ton of them listed, but that doesn't mean there are buyers for them.

The Wii doesn't come with Wii Sports in Japan.

But I think the Wii is region locked, so I guess they wouldn't be able to play US Wii Sports anyway...

Not entirely sure.

would be cool if some noob parent bought my wii sports for $50. Sure makes the Wii worth keeping @$200.

Everytime I read a Wii thread like this, it seems I'm taken in more and more into the system.

I never felt it in the other two consoles.

Maybe, it is meant for me.

My wrist does get a bit sore after a couple hours. I've thought about switching the jump and fire buttons to see if that helps.

I couldn't care less about multiplayer - for that I'll play UT or something else on my PC. The Wii is about 2 generations behind on anything internet related. Except for the ridiculous price they charge on VC games.
