I just caught a hacker!

Yeah, I probably should've mentioned this earlier. I'm not going with the "reporting to a higher authority" anymore. When I realized he really WAS small time, I stopped deluding myself into thinking anyone would care. I'm going to screw the kid over.

He had some interesting ports open. I'll see what happens.

I'm not doing this to be leet. I'm doing it for the sake of personal revenge. Would it not make you angry if someone stole SOMETHING from your computer?

Yes, but I would fix the problem instead of trying to mess up other computers. Not to mention contacting the other people that are infected. Ive done it several times because of the stupid MS users keeping code red and nimda going, Id do it in that situation too.

In this case, there are litereally hundreds (If not thousands) of computers infected. While I'd love to get the attention of people with it, that would require sitting on IRC for a time, harvesting alot of IPs/passwords/ports, individually hacking into each computer, and leaving some sort of message to the user.

Nobody likes getting hacked, even if it's for the most noble of causes. I don't think I'll risk my neck.
