I just found a ULTIMATE credit card that beats Citibank Dividend Platinum

We all know how bummed we are about the Citibank reducing 5% cashback on Gas/Groceries/Drugstores to 2%...

Well this is what Chase Business Platinum offers:
*3% back on Home improvement and Hardware stores (AC, remodelling, thousands of dollars for 3%!)
*3% back on Building supply stores
*3% back on Gas stations
*3% back on Restaurants and Taverns (BEST for a bachelor like myself)
*3% back on Office supply stores (think Staples, COMPUTERS, LAPTOP purchases!)
*1% back on EVERYTHING else.

0% APR for first 12 months, 8.99% fixed thereafter.

Citibank has a $300 cash back cap a year.
Chase has NO cap for regular 1% cashback and 3% cashbacks are capped at $1200 a MONTH!

Won't you go and apply?!

This doesn't really "beat" the dividend, as it doesn't give you more than 1% on grocery/drug store purchases. In order to maximize cash back, you should have multiple cards that give you cash back on specific purchases. There's still a chase card that gives you 5% back on groceries and gas, also.

Depends on the usage of the card. I'm a 24 yr old bachelor and I rarely shop at drugstores and 3% back on eating out + beer is FAR more than 2% back on groceries.

That's what I'm saying, that it depends what kind of purchases you make most often. You can maximize cash back with multiple cards. There are cards that give you 5% back at restaurants and cards that give you 5% at gas stations too.

I need to find a card that has 3-5% back on retail purchases. Office supply stores isn't going to cut it.

I doubt you spend more than a few hundred eating out...don't spend your $10 all in one place.

I'd be surprised if there wasn't any kind of fee or minimum spending amount. Pretty good if it doesn't but AMEX may beat it in some areas if you spend enough.

I'm starting to think the ideal mix is going to be this:

AmEx Trueearnings - 3% on eating out
Citibank Dividend - 2% on utilities

Would need to find a 3rd one for 5% on the everyday purchases that Citibank was so good with. Groceries and gas are my two biggest monthly expenditures aside from rent, insurance, and utilities.
