Considering 2-3 weeks ago I worked an extra 26 hours in one week (working over 40 hours is very uncommon), and that I make a lot more than $25/hr, it almost feels like a slap in the face.
But I guess it's better than nothing so I can't complain too much! Too bad I purchased something for $26 on Amazon this past Monday heh, I could have used the card instead!
Yeah, I haven't had a raise in 4 years, created systems that increased our efficiency by 500%, and I just got an email saying I'll get a .75 raise next month.
WTF. I'm $20K underpaid in my field as it is :| It was one of those "That's it...up goes the resume" moments.

Oh and OP, Amazon themselves gave me a better bonus last week than your company, $30 gift card for opening a CC with them lol.

I know how it feels man. Last year at my old company I got a candy bar. A freaking candy bar. Every previous company I got a $100.
This year at my new company I get one weeks salary as a bonus. Best bonus I've ever received by far.
Now we have no incentive for performance
Since our CEO only makes 4 milion per year, there has been lot of cut backs. Some of those cut backs include no more bonuses, for ever. That was determined at our last union agreement. I use the word agreement loosely. If we disagreed, they'd just shut is down. No point in fighting it.
So yeah, no more bonus, but w/e. It's called a bonus for a reason. Not suppose to depend on it. The attitude around has gone to a low since then though. The bonus has always been an incentive as it was based on overall performance. Now we have no incentive for performance, so everyone does what they have to do, but not more.
