So I found some Crucial Anniversary Series for sale on Ebay a while back and didn't really take the time to "push" them. Ran em at DDR2-1000 mostly at 2.178v CAS 5 and a short stint of DDR2-1150 just for kicks at 2.4v -- always with 2 fans for active cooling

I managed to have 1 stick go bad on me after a power outage and Crucial was as good as gold regardless of where I purchased their memory - nor did they even ask actually.

I got my return stick yesterday (1 week turn around total!) and decided to see what I might be able to pull off.

Well this is just for starters but after 12 runs of memtest they are 100% stable at DDR2-800 CAS 3-3-3-12 with 2.25v

I should have another kit of this stuff in the next week or so and can't wait to see what I can do.

I've had a set of those and a set of their 8500 CL5 EPP's for some time now sitting new in a box

Just can't pull the trigger on a cpu/mobo Using a single core opty144 with 1GB for now with xp pro no bother lol

If i were to buy today i'd get an abit ip35-e and probally a 6550 or quad

toying with the idea of the 7x multi to match these..

WHAT's the deal with using the "actual" root multi of the cpu for some reason? I forget..

wow thats some micron goodness you have there. crucial is amazing, best company right after corsair for me.

Good for you, i also have some crucial (ballistix) and so far I'm happy with them too also stay away from OCZ look at my thread titled, "Proof OCZ is not all that" and see the problems i have had!

I also picked up an other set of magical anniversary series and they will do 1200mhz (600) at 2.59v

"Anniversary" or not, I looked long and hard before settling on a 2GB kit of Crucial Ballistix DDR2-1000's. I haven't run them up all the way to DDR2-800, but they're at DDR2-720 and running with latencies 3,4,4,8, 1T. the Everest memory-bandwidth tests are "outta-sight."

But see my post on addiing a 1GB 2x512 kit of same Crucials.

I'd love to get comments or insights. Sounds "syrupy" to say it that way, but the troubles I went through today and last week make me urgent for input.
