Talking with Amazon right now. Value was over $900 and I can't believe ups did not do signature on delivery.

I feel so! crap. Hope Amazon doesn't think I'm one of those frauds who false-claim.

Oh man that sucks...sorry to hear that. I always worry it will happen to us to. You don't by chance have a security cam installed facing the door do ya? That would probably make the case more cut and dry as far as Amazon is concerned. You could also get you local PD involved too.

Lame... I've been hearing about this in my area. I've started to think about adding another Nest Cam to watch the front of my home to avoid this.

If you can, you may want to start shipping things to work. That person may try and watch your house if they know you get good stuff shipped there.

Does Amazon base their signature requirements on package value? It's been many years since I've had to sign for any package delivered to my home. And there's absolutely no cover anywhere on the front porch. Any box left there can easily be seen from the sidewalk and street.

afaik, they don't put a signature requirement on anything. You might be able to request it special. Alternatively, maybe have stuff shipped to work or to a UPS store or something.

I haven't done signature on Amazon pkg for a long time too. I think they base it on customers order history and refund rate and such. I bet I have a big red warning on my acct now.

More to the fact that I work ten minutes from home and when something gets delivered I can come back to the house and since the package can't be seen from the street even better. Never had anything stolen yet. But have had USPS deliveries that never made it to my house.
