Hey you're lucky he was in a good mood. Could have been something where because you didn't have all your info with you he couldn't look up your registration easily and didn't want to bother with it for a ten over that would get reduced in court anyway. Very lucky. Every time I've been pulled over, they gave me the ticket. I'm always straight forward and honest with them, but so far that hasn't worked. The best trick I've found...don't get pulled over in the first place!

It is not illegal to drink a single beer.

Just because something isn't illegal doesn't make it any less stupid. Use common sense next time.

I really hope you are not being serious

What, you think drinking a beer right before getting in a car is smart?

Yeah thats exactly how it was for me until last night. I always got tickets when I was courteous and prepared... but last night I some how got away with it when I didn't have anything with me.

Wow...

you must lead a pretty dull life.

?

So I was making breakfast this morning. I grab the milk out of the fridge, and as I pour it the carton slips a bit in my hand and some milk pours onto the hardwood floor. My dog comes over to lick it up and it gets sick from milk so I'm freaked out that he is going to lick it up and get sick again.

I'm scared out of my mind looking down at my dog, and my dog looks back up at me. He stands on his hind legs and leans against me and starts begging for some food, and while he is doing this he steps in the spilt milk. Now I'm freaked because he might lick the milk off of his paws.

So I throw some bits of cereal across the room to get him away from the spilt milk. Then I grabbed a towel and wiped the milk off of his paw to make sure he wouldn't lick it and get sick. Man that was a close one.

wow... just wow.

It may not be "smart" but it is certainly not "stupid" either ...

stupid is when you drink a case of beers then drive out to the store to buy some more because you ran out. In that case, you should have planned ahead and bought more beer ahead of time rather then driving after the fact.

Stupid isn't when you have 1 drink with dinner or something and then drive somewhere.

That said, If it's like a little kid or something, then drinking 1 beer and driving would be stupid, since little kids weigh less and probably would be able to get stupified after drinking. Also, it is illegal for little kids to be driving.

I see what you mean and actually agree. Why down a beer right before getting in the car and risk that it will be on your breath? I don't think you're actually saying that the 1 beer will impair the driver but why risk it if pulled over.

Yeah, I understand what you guys are saying.

It wasn't my initial plan to drink it right before I drove... I just happened to leave soon after finishing it.

Just because something isn't illegal doesn't make it any less stupid. Use common sense next time.

Seriously, do you think one beer was a problem here?

I don't think he was drunk, i'm just saying drinking a beer RIGHT before getting into a car is a stupid thing to do. Is it even worth the hassle if you get pulled over?

I agree and respect %99 of your posts, but this is just rediculous. I haven't been pulled over in over 5 years, how often are you getting pulled over? There is nothing wrong with driving after drinking one beer, it is legal for a reason.

I'm going to start waiting 2 hours before driving, after having a beer with dinner. Guess I'll be spending a lot of time listening to the radio in the parking lot.

In Florida (atleast when i lived there), even if you are parked, if the keys are in the car, they can pop you for being drunk. We were told this in school, if we were drunkin sleeping in a car, leave the keys on the outside of your car.

Oh, this make me feel very safe on the roads, knowing there are people like you out there. I sure hope you don't live anywhere near my state.

Oh wait!

I call shens. No way anybody that irresponsible could pass a drivers test!
