sounds like a stick of bad memory
try one stick at a time--if you get the same errors on a stick, its bad memory-- time to return it if you can.
if one stick at a time works then try one stick in one of the slots moving it each time to a different slot <does this make sense?>----could be a bad memory slot.

best case senario is that the memeory just isn't seated properly

good luck

i had 3 128 pc 100 in each slot and it worked fine so i dont think it is a bad memory slot. also my wife is having the same problem. she has the same board and processor as i do but where our systems differ is sound card, video card and hard drive and cd rw/ cd rom and she is running WIN ME. also she jsut took out her pc133 256 and reinstalled her old memory. she is now having the same problem she had with this new memory

have you tried it with just that stick of RAM? 32Mx4 is a very unual organization of RAM though.. even though they said it works, I'm not sure if you can mix an match with other organization of RAM... better check your MB documents.

Win98 cannot handle more than 512MB of RAM without needing to make adjustments to the vcache. Only problem is that I can't remember what to change....

my wife tried it with two sticks of ram , akso we arent mixing any memory. all memory is the same we bought the limit (5 sticks) and were going to buy another but if we cant get this to work than its going back. also somebody said that Win 98 has a problem with anything over 512mb does anybody know how to configure Win 98 and Win ME for more than 512mb?
