I just installed a GTX 460 and now my CPU is constantly being taxed!

I have no idea what is going on. Taskmanager just says 40-50% of all 4 of my cores are being used and the process with the most activity is "svchost.exe"

Any ideas? All I did was uninstall my old Nvidia 9500 GT and install this new GTX 460 with the new drivers!

You probably have several svchost.exe instances running in task manager, but only one of them is using a very large amount of memory and it eating cpu cycles.
Chances are you have some sort of spyware or spam. This is characteristic of some sort of malware going on. If you have any anti-spyware software, update it and run it in safe mode. Anti-Virus as well.
I highly doubt your GTX460 is making your CPU cores run at 50% or so. IMHO, it's just coincidence, and in your mind, the GTX460 was the last time you messed with your puter, at least physically.

Looks like the Smart6 or EasyTune Gigabyte software did not know what to do with the new video card. I removed those and the cpu taxing is gone now. Thanks for the input
