Just saw in the BizNuz (NYT) that in Feb. computer chip sales (did not specify other than "chips") were off 35%. Chips used in cellphones, obviously a different critter, were stable. This could be what has caused the dip in RAM prices.
Who knows? Sometimes prices fluctuate for no apparent reason, as in the rise of around 25% in the retail price of gasoline in the last month -- I know of NO reason for that, other than that "they" figure they can do it. ;(
