You mean I'll have the same latency issues even when there's just one window and 10 tabs? At the moment, that's what I've got. Before I had around 10 windows, close to 200 tabs and the pauses were driving me nuts. I've gotten kind of used to it,yeah, but I still don't like it. Right now, no latency! Maybe if I keep things so there's less than 30-40 tabs open it'll be OK.
How do you delete the History? I see a few things, among them a checkbox "Remember History." Obviously, I can uncheck that, but am wondering about other possibilities. For instance, I can change the 90 days to say 15 days. I could uncheck Remember Download History, Remember Search and Form History.
Is the new Firefox 3.6 better than the older 3.5.8? I'm running XP Pro 32 bit on one machine and Win 7 64 bit on another. I don't want to update my self into problems.
Thanks
Jim
On 2nd thought maybe that isn't Strata... can you tell me how you got your FF to look like that? I've seen themes with the tabs on top but I've never seen the title bar removed like that.
That was an older version. Here's a recent screenshot of my entire window (1440x900, no cropping). I like this setup - like Chrome, it gives me a lot of real estate to work with.
The status bar is auto-hidden. It appears whenever my cursor hovers over a link, or if my cursor moves to the bottom.
Theme is TwentyTen 1.4(you can enable/disable Aero in theme options)
Addons: App Tabs(optional, mimics Chrome's tab pinning - I don't use this) autoHideStatusbar (this is a nifty plugin by itself, very customizable) Hide Caption Titlebar Plus (hides more unnecessary crap) Locationbar² (optional, sortof mimics Chrome's address bar features) Personal Menu (menu bar stays hidden and out of my way, but re-appears momentarily when Alt is pressed) Speed Dial(optional, gives you speed dial)
