My Dad also drank a lot and so did his Dad.
My Dad hasn't touched a drink in I don't even know how long. I know when I started drinking he said alcoholism ran in the family and warned me.
No, I'm not an alcoholic.
Denial is one of the signs of alcoholism.
It's also a sign of not being an alcoholic.
Me: Hey guys, I'm seriously not a midget.
Jules: ZOMG Godless is a midget, denial is the first sign!111

maybe he just realized he hit Lifer...

GL JohnCU!
No. He had a Lifer post pre-planned.
Man... and I'm going to hit Lifer soon as well! Perhaps someone should PM me a crisis to play out once I hit 10,000
Crisis for Lifer:
Someone attacks you and your new Humane Society puppy while you're drunk at a local Starbucks. Defending yourself, you frantically look around and notice a "holiday" ornament some little girl just put down since she didn't recognize what it was, so you pick it up and wield it like Donovan McNabb with a sinus infection. The crazed assaulter is belligerently discussing Nigerian money scandals and his recent beef stew, but you'll have none of it. You smash his face in with the ornament and bail out of there, just as a barista in Diesels begins screaming about retroactive irrigation charges. Finally getting home and tending your injuries, you notice your fantasy football is doing poorly this week and your H key is missing. The End? OR IS IT?
No, he's seriously.Originally posted by: Leros

Jesus, this again? I have no pity for someone who went around bragging (on a tech forum on less) how much they were drinking in college and is now an alcoholic.
But, good luck straightening it out.

I hit rock bottom too, sometimes that's best and you bounce back stronger than ever before.

heh, i was talking to one of my former roomate from a rehab on the cape and he asked me if i was praying everyday, getting on my knees and asking for help. i told him i was but i was getting tired of crying everytime i did. this guy is like 6'5", 315 and he told me that God wouldn't have given us tear ducts if He didn't want us to cry.Originally posted by: JohnCU
